Supportive and Knowledgeable

I completed my instructor course (IDC) with Ann at Go2Similan and I would highly recommend the course with her. Ann is a very supportive and knowledgeable course director and she adapted the course to my needs. This included providing time for refreshing skills before the course began, adapting the schedule to reduce stress or pressure and offering a small group size. I enjoyed Ann's positivity, honesty and thoroughness. She openly shared her own experiences as an instructor, would slowly and clearly explain any questions or issues and was always on hand to help. This enabled us to feel confident and safe as new instructors. Following the course Ann supported me to begin dive guiding on the liveaboards in the Similans and continued to provide support, advice and friendship.

Approachable Teaching Style

Ann was the Course Director for my PADI IDC. Very professional and knowledgeable with a great, approachable teaching style. I was extremely prepared for my IE thanks to Ann, who let us know exactly what to expect. I found her to be a great role model for younger DM trainees as well. Overall a very good experience and I would highly recommend Ann for anyone looking to do their PADI IDC.

I have just completed my IDC with Ann at G2S and can't recommend it more.

When I was looking for a place to train to become an instructor in Thailand I looked at many dive centers but I was pointed in the direction of G2S and Course Director Ann Christmas.

The level of teaching and training was thorough and very professional. It helped shape me to become the instructor I am today. Ann goes out of her way to help, even in her spare time and is a specialist at helping people overcome challenges they face during the course.

The IDC is two weeks of classroom, pool, open water training and theory as well as a two day instructor exam putting all that you have learned to the test.
All these sessions and training prepare you to begin teaching courses and guiding as soon as you pass. It's intense but so worth it when you get the certificate and start life as a new PADI instructor.

The diving here is also insanely good especially dive sites like Richelieu rock and the Similan islands.

Phenomenal Mentor

Ann was staff instructor on my IDC and I can’t say enough how happy I am that she was.
This woman is super motivated, organised and has a great sense of humour that lightens up any subject.
She is very patient and willing to give extra help and tips if your struggling especially with theory. I also really appreciated her firmness of holding us to a higher standard, helping us grow and become quality instructors.
All the constructive feedback and many words of wisdom and her way of putting your worries at ease really made a difference.
Her passion really shines through.

First-Rate Instructor

Ann has the patience of a saint, both when working with beginners who are doing a scuba review and when she is developing entry-level professionals for their Divemaster certification.
Her ability to put herself in the shoes (fins?) of her student and gently nudge them along makes her a favoured instructor in the dive centre where I managed about 90 staff.
She has since become a Course Director and applies the same principles, including a generous amount of wit to developing Open Water Scuba Instructors.
You cannot have a better instructor, especially if you're trying to overcome any issues or challenges.

Ann is a very passionate and informative teacher!! She has a broad knowledge on dive theory and portrays it well to her students. She is very kind and patient. Ann was staffing my IDC last year and without her I wouldn't have passed my theory exams the way that I did. Her analogies saved my life. The comparisons and familiarities she used in her explanations and teaching made the KISS (keep it so simple) seem all so realistic in what was a very stressful time for me. She was a total rockstar.
She has a dedication to teaching and engages with her students, she will go out of her way to ensure you have an understanding, with her years of experience she has a lot of knowledge to give, especially for new professionals in the industry. So I believe her new title as a Course Director is perfect for her. It's important IDC candidates have a mentor like Ann.
